Ford Employee Chat Session - Submission of Questions
In order to establish a rough framework with which to work from in the upcoming ford employee chat, we would like all participants to submit questions to be asked during the session, these questions will be reviewed by the forum admin team to ensure their relevancy to the employee involved and will be asked during the session. Once these questions have been aswered in the chat session, you can ask for clarification of points or ask about the answers as long as it will not cause problems with fords policy on sensitive information.
So get your thinking caps on and email me your questions to donut.king@fordforums.com
To those who are unable to participate, feel free to email questions to me and I will submit them on your behalf during the session, you will then be able to see the answer when the log of the session is posted.
1. There have been a number of inaccuracies in the Ford market share predictions that have been quite large. To what do you attribute these and what is being done to remedy them?
2. From a laymans point of view it looks as if the product mix is decided by reading the tea leaves. Presumably there is more science than that - would you like to explain just how build mix is determined?
3. What are the chances of the Fiesta arriving in Australia at a price level that is competitive in its' market segment as a replacement for the (unlamented) kA?
1. Can you describe the process used in market research for the Territory?
2. How early was it decided to not include V8 and AWD as a potential Territory variant?
3. Looking at the small car segment, and considering the strong competition and pricing prevailent in the marketplace, where do you forecast the next model Focus and Fiesta being placed, from a sales perspective, and from a value perspective?
4. There seems to be a fundamental shift away from the V8 engine in non-sedan applications, eg. wagon, Territory. Has this been primarily a marketing decision, or is it part of a more substantial long term solution?
5. In your Sales Programming / Sales Planning & Dist. role, have you ever liased with, or modelled operations on Ford US?
6. With the BA sales so far, can you comment on the more popular combinations of model and options? Colours?
That's all from me for now....
