Not much looks to be happening on the UK/ Europe scene at the minute.

The new rangie has been met with some disappointing reviews after a press day or two. Supposedly pre productions version driven some where in Scottland had faults and drive characteristics that have made a mockery of some claims Ford have made. The UK press have let them know about it as well.

Spy shots of the Discovery upgrade due later in the year have surfaced on the carconnection.

Good start to the WRC season with a third an fourth in the opener

XC70 Volvo has had some positive press in the last couple of weeks.

Jag have been quiet

Aston even quieter.

Just the typical time of year , the sales over here are now starting to even out so manufacurers are looking for a few sales after christmas and looking forward to the new registrations . Then of course they will all be planning this years launches and shows . Hopefully this year I should be able to make it to a few and get some pics and we will also see how Top Gear fares on Channel 5 instaed of having the backing of the BBC .

Odd year to come , but certainly interesting .

This new registration thing. I have heard this before. You guys change the plate or something at a set time of the year!

Yeah its not like a car has a regitration for a person it is a one off thing that is carried with the car all its life unless you get a private plate . this can be a previous number plate in history that may have made up a name ie there is an Aston Martin Vantage in Red with the number plate 5 EXY this could have been on a car from as far back as the Forties and has been sold on .

It used to be a frenzy every year to get the first car with the new regestration now that happens twice a year

The new sytem is better but I prefer the way others do when you bau another car , secod hand or new you get new plates and the car registration relates directley to you . Just think its easier to maintain and you never run out (or not for a few hundred years)

That is what happens here. You buy a new car and you get new plates. You get to know what the latest plate is and if you are real keen you can relate it back to a month or two that the plates last for.


BTW did you see any of these new Rangies up your way. Supposedly there were shit loads of them up there for the press to play with!

Seen a couple but they looked like they were on route!!! Pushing it a bit or on a test drive!!!LOL

Theres a good land rover place along the road and they had a big display for almost a year of a Lara Croft cut out next to the Black Beast!!!! NICE both of them !!!!LOL
