I am finally going on a tour of the Ford Factory, on Monday.

I will wear my Ford Forums shirt with pride (although it will be in the morning and cold so no-one will see it).

Who else has done the tour? Where do you get taken? What do you see?

I went on a tour of the plant earlier this year when I was invited to interview for the graduate program. Was really interesting to see how the production line works and how this engine meets up with this chassis at the correct time and it really makes you appreciate the effort that goes in to developing not just the cars themselves, but the whole manufacturing process.

It was great when I was there we saw a new fairlane before it was released and heaps of territories just driving around. We just went through the main production plant, looking at how the chassis is assembled and welded by the robots and and what is actually installed by hand.

I had a great time and would love to go on another tour any time. Just don't take in your mobile phone if you have an inbuilt camera, if you do they will take it from you for the duration of the tour.
