The Ford Fairlane concept is a possibility for a segment-busting people mover. It explores a blend of upscale, modern design with Ford hallmarks of safety, interior spaciousness and functionality. The vehicle is named for the splendor of Henry Ford's Fair Lane estate in Dearborn, Mich.
The vehicle's well-balanced proportions and modern design cues will appeal to young families and age-defying Baby Boomers, who want a distinguished people mover that doesn't sacrifice style, space or function.
The spacious interior features an aircraft-inspired three-zone interior with a driver-focused front cabin, a first-class second row and a functional, durable rear utility area. The third zone features an industry-first triple-action tailgate and unique "rolling kitchen" concept that takes food storage and preparation out of quiet kitchens to family events.
Ford's new CD3 platform forms the basis for the vehicle. The vehicle features Ford's advanced safety technologies, including the AdvanceTrac stability control and Safety Canopy rollover protection systems.

I think the Territory should be the luxious 4WD/AWD people mover and the Fairlane a prinstine sedan. I do not like this concept car one bit.

its a concept. if it does turn into reality it will be for the Americans, not Australia. also if im not mistaken, dont Ford own some of or all of Land Rover? it may explain the looks of it.

I honestly dont mind the look of it, HOWEVER - in australia i think the looks are too radical (ie: AU failure) and would suit USofA much better.
I also hate the idea of anything like that having the fairlane name, sacrelige! >:(
