This week I will be purchasing my first and probably last new pickup. Ford is offering a $1000 discount to finance through ford, at a rate of 5.9. I have to make three payments before I can refi. But when I do refi, it won't be a new pickup anymore so I don't know if I'll be legible for new car rates. Has anyone looked into this? I kinda think I should just give up the $1000 discount and go straight to my bank and get financing for a much cheaper rate.

When you go to buy it, have them give you a $1000 discount and get the financing from your bank.
