U read it here first. Holden must tbe doing some soul searching.

FOR a few short hours yesterday, if you wanted a sneak peek of Holden's yet-to-be-released VY Commodore you could go to Ford.

Or more specifically, to the Ford Australia chat room of the popular worldwide Fordforums.com site, which posted four pictures, allegedly of the new Commodore wagon, Berlina, Calais and sporty SV8, almost a month out from their launch. The sneak pictures appeared early in the day but by lunchtime had disappeared from general view, allowing access to only registered forum users.

Holden spokesman Tristan Everett was perplexed at the premature appearance of pictures.

"No Commodore photos have been officially released," he said.

The Commodore, on which Holden has reputedly spent $350million, will be launched on September 10 and go on sale in October, as will the new Falcon, code-named the Barra, which Ford itself last month released pictures of and has spent $500million on.

A US-based owner of the Ford forums site, John Oliver, said the pictures had been posted on a General Motors site, Holden's parent company, and subsequently duplicated to his site.

Geoff probably can't think because he is to busy rolling around on the floor luaghing to hard at the ricer back end of the new Commodore.

Did anyone notice that they say in the Herald-Sun that the interior styling has not been changed. Man! Thats one old interior!

lol i gotta get this paper:) holden must be kicking them selves i mean now they will really feel the heat as they start loosing sales, maybe they will have a last minute rush on the vx cos no one i know likes the ass end of teh commy, ahh well ford had this drama with the AU maybe the tables have turned in our favour this time:):)
