ford forums history

Could anyone give me a history lesson ford forums. Who created it etc? The site seems to be based on Aussie cars, yet made by an american?

I think it was created late 2002 or something and LunaticSVT is th e Webmaster and the Australians took over it and clamed it there own like everything else, na just kidding Fords probabaly have more of a Passion in Australia and NZ than they do in America

i think that aussie have that special bond with there cars that the yanks dont
there seems to be pride and heritage in owning a ford in australia, whereas there less of that in america.

Trust me it's pretty similar in the US. Over there they still have a lot of pride & heritage, but mainly in classics such as the GT40, Mustang and Cobra. I think it's a little diffent as the hero cars are more expensive but they still love them as much as we love GTs and Monaros. Also notice public reactions when an American company reborns a historic concept, the media is all over them... I must say though they put a lot of effort into them, I think they all look awesome.

I think it's just that there are so many Ford fans in the US that there are separate forums - ie. Mustang forums, GTs etc.

This forum took off when BON started to die back when i registered.

Yes it was originally Yank Based, owned by a Friggen Holden driver of all people.

That soon changed, and the database started to build.

Of course we had other people who saw the sucess copy the forums and start others, but none have reached the member number as Ford Forums

LunaticSVT owns the forums, has paid for it out of his own pocket for many a year, and thanks to all donating members and sponsers who have kept it going today!
