That drawing looks like the new Vectra! I liked the latest Taurus though, was better than that monster they released here!

Yeah I know that, i am just dissapointed that they did not turn to OZ for a real, RWD sedan (i guess we need to wait for MY 2006/7 model to lift export hopes)

For sure. Hell if Ford Aus can produce the BA (and Territory) on a budget of relative peanuts, surely Ford US could take and adopt the platform or improve on it with their vast reserves of R&D money?
The US trade unions would never allow bulk importing of these models, they would absolutely go out of their gourds! So - why not build the same car in their own factories, I wonder??

Bloody hell yeah - Mazda has the sh*ts that the yanks stuffed up the ford escape/mazda tribute LHD versions. Luckily, for Japan and Aus, ours come directly from Hiroshima.

Falcon platform might be well sorted but im sorry to say up against the CD338 platform it starts to look a bit long in the tooth.
if ford were to export to the US, that leaves basically nothing for us, and wont fill the shoes to US customers. The market is huge over there, also the madza six is a really good platform for ford to work on.
