To us Queenlanders, don't forget that the Ultimate Ford and Holden Motor Show is on at the Southbank Convention Centre this weekend 22nd and 23rd. Should be some great cars there, plus they will be having dyno runs etc.

It's in Exhibition Halls 3 and 4 which are the first 2 halls on the left, if your facing the front.

I went today, it cost $15 :(
It was OK, but there was waaaay too many commondoors there. It was good to see the #00 motorsport team selling their cause and Allan Moffat's early race cars on display, Ie the ones on www.fouronthefloor.com.au
There was a dyno comp,which was pretty exciting and you will be happy to know that a 351 XW Falcon, "OHP-500" was winning at 434.2 HP at the bags!!!!:bwhoa1: The next closest was a HQ Monaro at 382 HP. They put a new HSV GTO on and it got ~260 HP.
There isn't very many late model Fords there which was a dissappointment.
My favorite car was a bright metallic orange 1967 XR wagon, "Pimpin." Very funky.

The reason why there wasn't many late model fords there was the price of entry. Our XR club was approached but at $60 to have your car locked up for a couple of days was just rediculous. I hope they learn a lesson and sort it out for next year. I would have loved to have the XR club there but I am quite sure that noone was going to pay that. I know that the HSV club was asked as well and I think that they were in the same frame of mind.
