Are they pretty competitive?

For say an 18yo driver, EF Gli 6cyl, tickford suspension, exhaust, wheels, new immobiliser...

(all hypothetical), but would they offer a pretty good deal? or is it designed more for the new car buyer?

wesite doesnt really help much.

You'll just have to ring around, insurance is different for everyone.

I'm with a special deal through CGU and pay fortnightly so it's a little bit dearer than some others. You have to get what suits you.

Go to all the insurance companies web sites... most of them have an online insurance estimate thingo.

When I was 19 I had a EA S pack - It was about $1400 for full comprehensive from memory.

Im with Ford Insure, paying $1000 a year. NRMA wanted $1600 from memory.

I may be going with Shannons soon as I wanna do some head/cam mods. (in particular the 170RwKw package from Jim Mock Motorsport :s6: :s6: )

I have been with Elders Insurance for the last 3 years and alot of our members form the club are now starting to turn to them!

Is ford insure ok as far as driving history goes. Mine isnt that ad, but AAMI wont look at me.,

And what aree ford insure like as far as mods go. I rang GIO to ask about fitting extractors and they said as long as it dont increase the value of the car its fine, if it did then the premium would go up.
