Ford has announced the Territory will come in 2wd and 4wd. The Ford wagon ,as we know it, will cease to exist. Another marketing error by Ford. When will they ever learn ?
Well Toyota has killed the wagon with the new Camry, and Mitsubishi is killing the wagon in the next generation magna.
Guess the Mazda 6, Liberty and Commodore will fill the gap. Im a bit worried the fleets won't like the territory due to its weight and probable fuel economy.
Ford would have done the ROI for the wagon, and I guess supporting this model just doesn't ad up with the territory coming online.
Wouldn't worry too much about telstra - considering that the then new (VT) Commodore wagon was pretty much designed to suit their needs, then they go and sign with Ford.

Uncle Geoff's a great guy, but don't think for a sec he wouldn't tell us a furphy if it threw off the competition and kept everyone guessing as to what direction the company is going in.
I'd imagine once Territory comes online (and if it's the big success I and many others think it will be), the writing will be on the wall for the Falcon Wagon - one of the reasons they've chopped the line-up with the BA and spent as little money on it as possible.
I wouldn't expect the wagon to survive much past BA in any even with the shrinking market for these cars compared to 4WD style wagons. The RWD Territory could be the last nail in the coffin.

Thats exactly right...why would someone but a wogon over a 2WD territory? Everything is the same excpet the territory offers much more room in all aspects. Fuel consumption difference would be bugger all.
No point putting in the dosh for a product that is being succeded.
