Ford (lack of ) Profile
As I was wandering around the Murrumbateman Field days site over the weekend I was struck by the lack of a Ford stand there. Holden werent there either but Daihatsu, Mitsubishi Toyota and Mazda all had a presence. Considering the interest generated by the RM Williams F250 which was parked near their stand I would have thought it worthwhile for one of the local dealers to spend the day out there.
The reason I make these comments is that in wandering around it got me thinking that it was a long time since I had seen Ford vehicles at country shows that I had been to. Things must have changed as when I was a kid my parents bought two new vehicles at the local show.
I realise that Ford Australia cant force dealers to attend these functions but it would seem to be a good way to get some grassroots support happening for a product that seeems to have lost some of its profile. Anyway thats my two cents worth and I am prepared to stand corrected if anyone has had a different experience.
