Latest new TAXI rego figures have shown that the TOYOTA AVALON is the new choice for new TAXI buyers...................
According to new TAXI buyers, they have abandoned the FALC because it is no longer available in "TAXI YELLOW" from the factory and the TOYOTA is.
To buy a FORD will cost the buyer $3 - $4 K more because it will have to be repainted. Buyers and passengers are also commenting that the Fuel Economy is better and so is the backseat room...........BLOODY HELL.
Through my Father, I've lived and breathed FORD Taxis for the past 25 years and have fond memories of our first glossy black XB Falcon 500 Cab that Dad bought home. As a kid, I was besotted and it began a life long love affair with the Blue Oval. He then had an absolute ANIMAL XE that did well over 800,000 KLM before it became my brother's plumber's HACK and was then sold off for bloody good money to a family friend. On from that came the EA and then the EF and now he's driving an AU.
He's also scratching his head in contemplation of the fact that his next ride may well be a TOYAOTA....................
