Read Ford Motor Co Centenary Celebrations!

The Ford Discovery Centre will be hosting an open day to celebrate the founding of the Ford Motor Company by Henry Ford in 1903.

Details:

Date: Sunday 15th June, 2003
Location: Ford Discovery Centre, Corner Gheringhap & Brougham Streets, Geelong, VIC.
Time: 9.30am till 4.30pm
Enquiries: phone 03 5227 8700
Special Displays: Gheringhap Street closed to traffic, road safety displays from SES, VicRoads, Ambulance Service and Victoria Police, car club displays, Ford Motor Company of Australia vehicles, 1903 A Model Ford, build number 31, plus food and entertainment for the whole family.

Entry to the Centre on this day will be via gold coin donation. Come along and take a look! A number of fellow Ford Forum members have already indicated their participation.

Oops, forgot to mention there will also be a display of vehicles from the Roaring Forties (GT40 replica manufacturers) and another vehicle previously unseen by the public!!

Do birthday boys get complimentary airfare from Syd to Melb return for that day? hehe sounds like fun...DAMN MEXICANS.. i suggest Ford HQ moves to SYDNEY! You know, I think the old Homebush plant is still vacant

We will have approximately 50 vehicles on display outside the Centre along with those on display indoors.

We will also have a great range of merchandise available along with the Ford Centenary commemorative grille badges and other Centenary merchandise.

Ok, now I can officially let you know that the previously unseen vehicle is the Pro Hart painted XR6T Ute as described by RPO83 on FF.

More details to hand are that we have a group of high profile V8 Supercar drivers who will be joining in the festivities on the day and even FF's own "Uncie Geoff" will be putting in an appearance. Live radio station crosses etc etc. Its going to be HUGE.. don't miss out!
