Ford Recognition Program

Just thought i'd put this here to kinda brag. Although i'm not looking for a new car this is amazing. Some of you may have heard of it:

My employer uses Ford for their fleet, quite simply. Using my employers Intranet i found a link to a product called Ford Recognition Program. Basically it rewards employers of these companies by supplying discounts on new vehicle purchasers. So i thought ok, maybe you could save a few hundred.... hehe keep going.
Here's a few cut n pastes:

BA Falcon XT Sedan

Barra 182 4.0L DOHC VCT I6 Auto RRP: 34,660 Save: 4,911 Partner Price: 29,749

BA Falcon XR Sedan

XR6 T - Barra 240 4.0L DOHC Turbo I6 Manual:
RRP: 45, 085 Save: 5,604 Partner Price: 39,481

Some other savings are like XR8 manual Sedan: 6,190 Xr8 Manual Ute save: 4,670

Amazing stuff eh, the discounts apply to all Fords too, usually the more the car initially the bigger the discount.

Re: Ford Recognition Program

Yeah i know, but this is entirely independent of the company. It's for personal buyers, not fleet. That's probably what you meant anyways.

Re: Ford Recognition Program

Same deal as flybuys... People were running there business accounts, purchasing thing like 2 million $ worth of raw materials a month.. Getting a few trips around the world.. I think the banks closed that loophole. You could run your company into the ground and get tax free flybuys for your personal use. Yeh the company went broke but I bought this house with flybuys so you can touch it! (not that bad but you get the idea).

I have heard of simular systems from Holden and Toyota.

I guess they sell more cars this way, and the person who chooses the company fleet is invaribly corruptable. I've heard of simular situations in other industries like computers.. Buy 1000 from us and we throw in a extra one for ya home, spec'd to the eyeballs.

Re: Ford Recognition Program

Yeah i guess so. Then again there's an upside for the current employees, all you need is a payslip to prove your employment.
