Hi guys,
After a really bad experience with my first car (not a Ford), and being completely screwed by the dealer, i brought a Falcon, after a few weeks of owning it blew a radiator. I took it back to the dealer and it was fixed, but i ended up with a few deep scratches in one of my side mirrors. I didn't feel like arguing with them about it, so it touched it up myself, though it was an accident. A fews weeks back i took it for a service, this time they over adjusted my handbracke (dragging), scratched my font and rear bumper, deeply scratched my grille & broke my fuel filler release. The question i've got is, have i just got bad luck or does anyone else have a similar problem? By the way the Dealer is Thomson Ford Parramatta Sydney.

Every car delaer must ahve a similar story, but more importantly what did you get them to do to fix the problems?

Call me stupid but i fixed them myself, still haven't fixed the fuel lid. Yet after having a go at them they offered to, but if u know what i went through with the previous car u would understand why i just don't bother, i reall y get p*#&$d off when stuff like that happens, especially cause i spend heaps of time looking after what is virtually a brand new car. When i brought the previous car the dealer said they would fix the scratches i had on the front bumper, they did, a year later the paint peeled off. Just one of the huge list of things that went wrong.

Solution: service the car yourself! I don't let anyone touch mine, only for specialised stuff like auto trans adjustment etc.

On the one occasion I went, I found Stillwell Ford in Adelaide to be excellent. The spare parts guys there and at Adrien Brien Ford are also 100%.

yeah that's what i'm going to do, my warranty runs out next August, so i'll be doing my own services, i only want to take my car to my mechanic (a long time friend) who i have never had a problem with, for the major stuff. I to think the spare parts guys are great!!!
