Went into my local ford Dealership today (wagga), and bought the xr8 intake snorkel. Just out of curiosity, I got a quote on a momo leather gearknob and matching steering wheel.
Gearknob - $140
Steering wheel, I said to him its gunna be expensive by the sounds of it and he said around $1000. My god!!
Didnt I read on here somewhere there were steering wheels going for $250? Whats the go??
HAVE A LOOK ON EBAY I SEEN THE AU ONES STARTING FROM $150 IN BIDDING...ALSO SEND A PM TO MENACE1 HE HAD 1 FOR SALE AND ROD HAD ABOUT 12 LEATHER ONES HE SOLD THEM HERE FOR $100 OR $150..
Hillis Ford don't know the meaning of discounting, they still sell every last little bit, regardless of what it is, for as much as it was when it was brand new. It's a pain in the butt.

Tell me about it, they still get all the service, even with the prices. It sucks! Might try somewhere else and see what they charge...
what you do is take the airbag off (it screws off) the wheel you've got now. Then you just put the new wheel on and your old airbag back on top of it (it'll fit). You can do it yourself but the screws are a real prick because theyre a special type, and the tool to get them off is $60 from Ford (so $120 @ Hillis).
So yeah, just get BG to send the wheel to you, and get Ford here to put it on for you, or a mechanic if you mind one who has the right tool.
