For the 25th year in a row, Ford was the biggest selling brand in Britain in 2001.

For the record, the top 10 best-selling brands in 2001 were:

Ford 16.4%
Vauxhall 12.6%
Peugeot 8.4%
Renault 7.4%
Volkswagen 7.0%
Toyota 4.0%
Fiat 4.0%
MG Rover 4.0%
Nissan 3.8%
BMW 3.3%

25 years in a row, thats bloody impressive, if only that could happen in Oz/NZ

They topped sales in the US too, but still managed to turn a $5 billion loss!?!? Don't know why!!

* One-Time Write-Off of purchase of Landrover. (That was this year wasn't it? Or was that the year before?)
* Collapse of the US economy.

mate, we would be the same if we had the same amount of cars in our line up (come on ford oz get your act together)...but im sure that problem will be fixed shortly :-)
