Ford
Falcon = predatory bird
Cougar = predatory cat
Mustang = wild horse
Cobra = nasty snake

Holden
Commodore = yacht club leader
Monaro = flat plateau
Statesman = beauracrat
Senator = see above

Monaro was also said to mean woman's breast in some Aboriginal languages. Doesn't mean it's inconsistent with flat plateau.
