am planning on getting these guys to insure my car...

i have heard they are reasonable with age and mods levels, can anyone confirm?

also they say you can take it to your nearest ford dealer to get a quote?? you would take it to the service section i assume and they look over your car? would it be easier doing this or just speakin to fird insure directly on the phone?

I got a quote over the phone.. Rating 1 $1400 for a BA XR8. Competitive enough.. I'm going for RACV at $1150 however..

Well I've got a bit of a problem on my hands at the moment.
I just got my car insured SGIO for $111 a month (full comprehensive), I'm 17.
They told me I am not allowed extractors, I'm only allowed a cat back exhaust. It's GAY!!!!!!. I mean it's ok for now because an exhaust is all i can afford, BUT, when i can afford them, should i go with FordInsure? will they let me have extractors?..Surely.
One company quoted me $1,900 a year, what wankers.

Like FalKeen said, would i just drop by my local dealer to get a quote?.

I just got a quote for a AU II. I live in Randwick, am 24, and have 0% No claim bonus.

NRMA $2,300
AAMI - $2,643
CGU - $2,203
Allianz - $3,400

FORD INSURE - $1,200

Yeah, I think Ford Insure have good rates. I don't know what there rules are on mods though.

Much better to drop of at your local dealer to get your car accessed and determine what mods you have etc. I too have been Insured with Ford Insure they seem quite ok. Have also got a cat back exhaust and there fine with it.
Another tip is to make sure you talk to the actual Insurance Representative and get his name incase some issues come up in the future.
