On LS1.com a comment is made that if you tow with a manual ford there is no drivetran warranty.. is this correct?

Maximum towing capacity is 1200kg for a manual with a Ford approved tow pack and without is 500kg.

especially one as rough as a top loader...

There are such things as 5 speed top loaders.. cant remember who makes it but it aint cheap :D

Tremec makes a 5 & 6 speed version of the Toppy. You aren't allowed to tow at all with the T3s which is such a waste of so much torque
