Is this right??
There is another Ford XR6 or is this guy just got his car makers mixed up????

if you have a look at the font of the car it is a lexus and it was at the sms!

Yeah, that's the Lexus out of the Tom Cruise movie "Minority Report".
So I don't know where he's getting his facts from.

Ford in South Africa produced a 6 cyl Sierra in the 80's (maybe 90's) and called it an XR6. We werent the first to get that name, however, I dont know of any other XR8.

And there is the Mercury Cougar XR7 i think....

Seem's the first XR6 was a MKV Cortina!!

A very limited edition was the Cortina X-Ocet. The car was similar to the Interceptor except for its being fueled by a 450 cfm Holley.
