Lately when ive been viewing the forums, its showing them as having no new posts when clearly there are. Theres plenty of stuff i havent read, but its all marked as read. Anyone else having the same problems, or is someone stealing my password?
Yeh I'm having the same sorta problems, I'll be here and there are new posts in other forums, I'll look at a few in one forum and then go to the other ones and they're all marked read when I havent even been into that forum, and whenever I click on "mark this forum read" it takes me to my profile page

I have this problem sometimes. It is caused by you being logged out for one reason or another. Go to the main FF page and log in, or, alternatively, you'll be prompted to login when you reply to a post or make a new thread.

im 100% sure im logged in when its happening - im posting at the time! also, when youre logged out, doesnt it show all posts as unread? im getting all posts as read...
It could be to do with the way you browse, if you are active on the forums for a bit, then inactive for around 900 seconds (15 minutes) the cookie that retains your unread threads is reset and everything is marked as read, at least thats the way I think it works, just thought that may be your issues
we'll see if FM's accound change helps
"My fordforums account doesnt seem to be working, i cant post or anything. It says thanks for loggin in etc, but then im not logged in or something."
***Update***
His account is only working in Netscape, not IE.
I would say that it is a cookie-related setting. When I upgraded from IE 5.x to 6.x, I found that I needed to fiddle with settings for ages before I could post normally - that was on our old ezboard. As for the specific settings that need to be changed, I cannot recall. Any other experiences on this?

Yes Jack, you are exactly correct. These problems were only after the upgrade from 5.50 to 6.0 of IE. Id say this is less preferable (i was going to use another combination of words here ) up.
Anyhow for example, im currently viewing now with IE and everyones posts say "More than 1" im thinking this is IE problem, ill check it out soon with Netscape.
