Excellent! At least the GTHO owners will not have coppers defecting their beasts just because they see a supercharger sitting neatly in the engine bay.

I hope this is true.

Also it has to be in the old school style. No leather no climate contol and it should have the body kit of a touring car. Just like the oringinal!!

i think it will happen in a couple of years when they do an update of the BA. This will give them time etc to shed a few kg and make further changes to accomodate such an engine and to develop driveline and braking

One this is for sure......i cant wait!

IMO it'll be at least a couple of years. They have to get this thing absolutely perfect before they can consider putting a HO badge on it.

There are still (little) gremlins in the BA. These need to be sorted out first and foremost. Then Ford need to catch up with production demand.

It will happen, but IMO Ford need to get other things right first.

i agree but kinda disagree at the same time.

I must admit im getting a bit sick of hearing what the GTHO should have. The phaseIII was near on 30 years ago, people have to get over it. Sure have some styling cues that reminise to the old days, but this car has to be a modern work of art.

A good suggestion I think would be to have maybe two options for the GTHO, say Road or Track versions. I think the 350Z has the same thing but not so extreme.

The Road version could be like a GT-P but with all the go faster bits you want. But the Track version would be a stripped out version thats still legal but weighs alot less.

What do you think?

This is a great idea as it would satisfy both the people that want a stripped out Track version and a more comfortable Road version.
