Just wondering if every bodys happy about the name change. To me it just sounds like we're coping hsv. FPV just dosn't roll of the tounge like Tickford does. And just think of all the clubs, stores, web sites, merchandise and coutless logos that have to be changed
I'm a little peeeved with the name change, just got into my Series 3 a month ago, might make it a rare buy for someone down the track when i upgrade to the next XR8...but it does follow HSV etc etc...it will work though because the cars will be awesome...
ps. have BeeMer ever dropped MTech ? Merc AMG ? No, it breeds pedigree just like Tickford could have for Ford...just my opinion ppl

Exactly, name means nothing, if you don't have the products to back up your name. Evenbtually, it is the products you will be known for, not your god damn now.
even though this is a dead issue and yes the product counts most, names not important !!!!!!? yugo y do you show u have a Phase 3 GTHO ? Apart from the car itself being a beauty from that era, the name is tuff, the name is a legend, but most importantly it sold...why is GT coming back ? Sales, marketing thats y names r important not just the products..come on the future FPV but then be devils advocate and ask why bring back an old name called GT.....

I think the name change has come at a good time and seems to have been marketed well for now. (website is great)
As has been said before the guys are still doing the same job just different shirts so we all know the product will be 1st class.
As for the Phase3 GTHO, the name is famous because the product was a worldbeater, tickford brand is good because the products are good therfore FPV will soon be a powerful brand when they get some cars on the road.

OK.....I get your point Bluedriver.
But why is it that the GT has it's name?? Remember, it was its quality and especially its performance that earned it that Respect and gave it that 'aura' around it's name.
It would still be renowned today no matter what name it was given, well maybe not some pussy name. But you know what I mean.
Quality and performance in the real world make the name.
