Was looking through our local Atwood's sale add and saw Fram Synthetic Motor Oil. Am I the only one that didn't know that Fram is marketing motor oil?

That a cheap price too. I can't even buy a qt of Castrol GTX for under 3 bucks at wally world.

When I click the link I get a message "web page not found". I've never seen Fram brand motor oil either.

I did a web search for Fram motor oil and got a link to a thread on Bob's the oil guy. They say it's made by Conoco Phillips, so it should be decent oil and only $2.69 a quart for full synthetic is a better price than Walmart's Super Tech.

I don't need any more motor oil, I think I still have about 25 cases that I bought before oil prices went through the roof. Some of it I bought for 2qts/$1. for Citgo at a grand opening sale several years ago at a Dollar General Store.

I hear that. Went to wally-world yesterday and bought a 5qt jug of Castrol Hi Mileage which cost me 21 bucks and an extra quart for almost 5. Also bought Mobile 1 which was 25 bucks for the 5 qt jug.

I recently started going to 5k on oil changes instead of 3k on the High Mileage. I've always went 5k with the Mobile 1.

I still run conventional motor oil and change it at 3K mile intervals in my '97 Escort which only has about 29K miles and do 5K mile changes on all the other cars except my '88 Escort which has 514K miles. I'm now doing 10K mile changes on it, because it uses a lot and gets topped of frequently but I top it off with oil drained from other cars, I'm also not too concerned about excess wear considering the miles on the engine.
