It happens every other month, a badge gets stolen from one of our cars in the yard. You turn a blind eye because it will happen but with the latest badgings I am pissed off. Have a look at the pics and you'll see why. A Pursuit ute had 5 of the 6 badges stolen or damaged as well as a scratch in the tailgate. An XR8 sedan had the "8" stolen as well.
What do you do?? Security has missed it as although the Pursuit is very visable, the theives still managed to pull it of.
Can't wait to see an EA-AU Falcon with an FPV badge because I will run them off the road..
I guess easy target, must cost the dealer a fortune, I guess the only way to fix it is deliver cars without badges and the dealer sticks them on at sale time, just like cars are delivered without hubcabs on as they used to get knicked in transit.
BMW and MERC owners used to pull the badges off and keep them stick em back on when they would sell the car for a while as the badges went missing so often.

What can you do?? - depends when its happening?
Some temporary area motion detectors and silent alarm works if you want to make the effort to catch a few of these lil a-h's.
Or a rottie works as a complete package pity about the dog grenades left on the sales yard though.
Unfortunately there's not much you can do other than parking the FPV and XR Falcons inside the workshop everyday. We are actually in the process of getting a motion detector camera system which will hopefully catch the bastards.
The security company will get the ass eventually. A funny thing happened last year when the DP came back into the dealership at 1:30am to pick up his mobile phone after being out and found the security guard asleep on his chair!! So you can see how it happens.
I honestly feel for the guys/gals who are prepared to buy these badges are are told they can't unless they own an FPV. Last year we even had a GT badge stolen from a GT-P, so it instantly became a "-P "!
Laminge should start his own security company, didn't he have to deal with this happening to him not so long ago?
Its unfortunate that some hardcore mullet bitch thinks a badge made up of the '8' from XR8, the 'GT' from GT-P and the 'T' from Pursuit would look fully sick of his XD moit, but its always going to happen. It may mean you just have to park the FPV's and XR's etc in the workshop, but if it's going to save the hassles thats sure as hell what I'd be doing.
What would that make? an FPV GTT 8? Although I would have to say that these guys need to get a clue, and make do with what they've got
