i just heard the worst news that at the start of next year the gas prices will get a nice big tax from bracks the make gas 80c per litre so it costs the same as normal fuel :sad:
can anyone else confirm this as my dads friend was picking up his new landcruiser from toyota today and he asked about gas and they told us this bad news :sad:

someone please pinch me and tell me that was only a dream :sad:

Me too, it just isn't worth that sort of money. Those prices would be the end for LPG powered cars.

that really sucks and is really typical if that is true. im getting a car thats running gas in a month or two and was looking forward to a cheaper fuel bill.

this was mentioned in the paper about 6 months ago, but they said it would be implemented around about 2008. I was hopin my car would've been sold or un-converted from gas by then! Looks like i'll hafta hurry up! The place around the corner from me always sells gas for 28 cents (except for the past few days), so atm the most i pay 4 a full tank is just under 20 bucks. Even if LPG goes to 60-odd cents, it'll die off i reckon. I only get 450km to a tank of gas, where-as petrol is around 650km. I couldn't be fuct doin the maths, but i don't think gas ends up being cost effective if it's that expensive.
