Gun Metal - You're absoloutely right, Red-i! I was wondering why it sounded a bit off. Heh - thanks; I've fixed it up.

I'll be getting some pics of the beast scanned and placed up here soon. It's my second car. (My modified red EF Futura got written off last September by a lady driver in a VT. Turned right without giving way.)

The most weird thing is the look I get from people when I tell them I drive an EF Fairmont when I'm 22 years of age.

Does anyone else get similar, or is it just out where I live?

I'm 18 and own an AU Forte, I get asked why I drive a "family car" and not a sports car, like (insert name here)'s 2 door lancer

Although respect to the guy who's old man bought him a 300ZX Twin Turbo, ultra modified.

My car goes harder than the so called "sporty" cars (not that I drive hard, I drive like a grandpa 99.99% of the time.) and costs less to run at the same time (LPG)

My car is not slow, I just don't have to rev the s*** out of it to go anywhere and therefore doesn't sound fast. 4 pot near redline anyone?

And if you tried to fit me and a few of my 6+ foot mates in a lancer. . . .

The only thing I wish i didn't have was the self shifter, but how many ex fleet manual fortes are out there?

AUforte, well said, my man!

I don't mind Japanese performance cars, but when they get riced up, I tend to get turned off. (And with exhausts cylinders you could stick your head in, why wouldn't you?)

18 and you drive an AU Forte. Thats respectable. And just what *is* a performance car to them? Lowered '87 Corolla Hatchback with a 4" exhaust?

lol i own a 86 corolla hatch.... it will never be lowered... it will NEVER be any mods... ever!! Nasty people who do that stuff... nasty....

Hey fordchick; Corolla's are actually pretty good vehicles. My girlfriend has one; they're nice and versatile.

It's just when they're done up... you can see an entire legion of them in some places in NSW. Just these box-shaped things literally bouncing up and down on the road. (Due to reduced camber from cut suspension coils.)

They really look pitiful...
