Well it had to happen sooner or later at 2.30 am this morning my gearbox lunched it's self. I took of on a dirt road slowly in first cause of the whine it has slipped in to second gave it a boot full of gas and it went bang. Sounds like scecond shattered into the bottom of the box, i still have 1st 3rd 4th and 5th but it's noisy as hell funny thing is i can still select all gears and it's still noisy even when the engine is at idle foot on or of the clutch. Looking deeeeeeeep into my bank account to see if there's $2200 for a melwood T5.

My gearbox is being a shit as well.. Just a little crunch into second at high revs, nothing bad..

What kind of gearbox are you getting? Where are you getting it from? If we can get a discount for getting 2, i'd be interested in it!

I could sell my gearbox the way it is (which is fine, just shits me that i crunch into second) and put my savings into the new box..

I'm also looking at a Mal Wood z-spec T5 so there's a possibly 3 for a group buy

$2200 is with trade is it? They are normally $2420.

That's not going to happen. Mal Wood are interested in sourcing T5 boxes to reco but don't expect more than a few hundred.
