The article in Wheels on Geoff P is a good one. It sums up my impressions (a down to earth real person - i.e. no fake, real genuine person), and is a great piece of ambassadorship for Ford. We need to convert the football thing to petrolhead addiction though....

All I can say is I am glad you didn't quit Geoff. It would have been a tragedy and a great loss for the Blue Oval. I can't imagine Ford in 2001 with someone else at the helm.

My surprise was at how bad things really are going at Ford. The cashflow must be a real worry at present given the required investments. I suppose those of us that are buying this year are the salvation for Ford in one way or another. I just hope there are no regrets at trade-in time (my main issue with buying cars up until now).

In summary - Geoff, you are a revelation and deserve all the credit you can possibly get. Similarly, I can see where David and team at TVE are going (similar pats on back there for a great job and direction change).

I see now that Ford has already exceeded its budget for Barra. Maybe we are getting a better car than we even hoped for? And the 5.4 is all but confirmed. I will wait for AV2 for my update (never have bought a new model).

I really belive that Ford will return as number 1 in the near future after reading what Geoff has said here and in the media interviews. The fact that there are Ford people besides him and David that look here and over at uteman and ask what we like and dislike is really impressive.
