The Ford website is a mess. I don't want to be critical but it is obvious noone with product knowledge edited the pages.
Like this, look up the accessories listing for an XR8. It is a mess of false accessories, ones that don't apply, ones that are standard anyhow, and so on.
Then there's the configure and price page. Same thing, XR8 page is all wrong and some items disappear behind other text etc.
Where are these web people? Are they on holiday? Did they check their pages before they posted them?

Are web designers classed as 'IT' people? I wouldn't have thought so. In which case the answer is NO!

As someone who is in the IT industry, I'd like to think that web design as a sub-class of IT is dying, if not dead. The days of constructing web sites with crap graphics (cos we sucked at it,) using text editors to generate hand-coded HTML is over. These days, they are increasingly coming from the arts, learning how to use a HTML editor/Flash to produce web sites that IT people ask for. :D
Ps. I still use a text editor for HTML, and I still suck at graphics, though I'm getting better.

I stand corrected...
So I can laugh at all the people who are doing my course with aspirations to doing web design now because they are doing the wrong degre hehehe :D
