Getting OS badges?

ok long story short, my gf owns a 2000 barina. Now we all know these cars are actually opel corsa's, and so does she. She knows how much I despise Holdens, and she isn't a big fan either.

So Im wanting to know where I can get some Opel badges to fit her car. I would need:

2 x Large Opel badges for front and rear
1 x Small Opel badge for the steeringwheel/airbag
1 x "Cosra" badge where it usually has barina
1 x small "Opel" badge (the block lettered one) where the word holden is.

Is there anyone is Aus, preferable Melbourne, that has them? If not where else can I get some and are they expensive?. Thanks fellas.

Sounds like the "Button Plan" to me. Its still a Holden Barina no matter what chrome & plastick knick-knacks you stick on it.

They are an ok car for what they are, why bother?

Here you go, here's a link to exactly what you're lookin for.

click on products, then click on exterior products, then you'll see a link for badges/stickers. I think it's on page six. Wont let me paste direct link to that page for some reason.

What the hell are you talking about? Im changing the badges and thats it. The engine already has opel markings, the only thing holden did was switch a few badges.

But I guess you think that a vectra is built in S.A :/

But what does switching the badges achieve?

Performance increase - Nil

Handling Improvements - Nil

Resale value - likely negative effect

Risk of paint and finish damage - Modorate

Impresses the passers-by - Unlikely

Impresses car enthusiast - No Chance

Wastes $200 you could have spent on something useful for the car - Yes

Changing badges doesn't change the car, A GT badge on an old XY 302 doesn't make it a GT, Tickford badges on stocker EL's doesn't make them Tickfords, So what difference is an Opel badge going to make.

Your car may be Opel in manufacture and the locally supplied ones are most likely barely changed if at all from the OS spec, but seriously is Opel any more exclusive than a lion with a circle round it, what difference will a couple of badges make?
Take the misses out to dinner with the money you save on badges.

Re: Getting OS badges?

oh please, do we have to turn this into another thread about the pros and cons of badging/debadging?

the guy asked a question, you are entitled to your opinion by all means but its not neccesary to enforce it on others. if he wants to badge the bloody car as a toyota - who cares!

How is having an opinion, forcing it on others?
Yes if he wants to badge his car as a Toyota he's quite entitled to. Just as other people entitled to call someone lame for doing this kind of stuff.

As for Vectra's built in SA.. I could comment but I will refrain...

No. Its still an Opel Corsa, thats why he wants to change the badges over. Theres nothing wrong with it, and the truth is, I would probably do the same if I had a Barina... I mean... Corsa.
