Ghia Broken Into

Had my Ghia broken into last night. The car was locked, but there's no evidence of forced entry. Locks still work fine.

I walked out to the car this morning, saw the drivers door half open, looked inside and everything was upside down. They took my Ray-Ban sunnies and about $50 worth in loose change. They made a half-witted attempt at the CD player, but left it. They also left my hand held CB which they took out of the map pocket, and left on the drivers seat. Maybe they forgot it?

I feel sick right now.

The car will get a silent alarm this week, and hopefully they strike again.

Re: Ghia Broken Into

Sorry to hear that mate, The alarm will be worthwhile. The XF's are really easy to get into.
I took out the lock knobs in mine to stop people getting packing tape in there and pulling them up.

Re: Ghia Broken Into

I was amazed when i saw just how easy it is to break into an XD/XF and early e-series. As dan said, all you need is some packing tape.

Not good, and BTW packing tape it the amature way to get into an XF, there is a far quicker simplier very scary way, if you want to know more Pearly drop me a PM, and will tell you how to secure an XF properly.

Re: Ghia Broken Into

Yeh, I'm just glad the car wasn't damaged.
I'll fit some deadlocks when I get home tonight, and the alarm goes on Wed.
Monitoring for Doors, boot, wheels, windows, engine immobiliser, shock sensor,
two long distance LCD paging remotes ranging 3000ft, keyless entry & boot release
outputs, car call back monitoring, and remote engine start.

Dellboy, you have a PM.

Re: Ghia Broken Into

Sorry to hear is Warren, but by the sounds of all you are putting in the car it shouldn't be too easy to get into it next time.
