F6 270 manual transmission. Part of what makes the F6 Typhoon really special is the T56 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission. This is a technologically advanced new gearbox that puts absolute power in the palm of your hand. The ratios are spaced for maximum performance, minimum fuss. It features the renowned AP Racing clutch - designed to handle the tremendous force of 550Nm of torque - and there's a new FPV shift alert that tells you when to change for optimum upshifts.

i noticed the shift alert...it may just be a light in the dash, maybe a beep of some kind....on the other hand, 1 of the 2 dials above the center console may be a shift light!
pity atm Performance inc. looks like its currently on sale at HSV only 0-100 in 5.1 for an auto :O soon enough we will be into the fours :S while the gt is still trying to get under 5.8 and dont say its a bee's dick cos last time i looked 0.7 seconds aint a bee's dick. its not that i am not happy with the ford engines they are tops but the reason they are slower is obviously the weight but is it just me or having a family hack doing 0-100 in 5 seconds flat going to have the coffee sipping pollies going skitzo who can say 1970 super car scare over again... not that i was around to see it
OK I dont know how many times I have to say it..but 0-100 times are important, but only to those who have low self esteem and need something to shit on about; there is alot more to a car.
And I would hardly call a HSV/FPV vechile a "hack". Based on one yes, but fairly revised.

The new cars all look all sorts of freaky goodness, but I think the Auto should just be abandoned all together until the new 5/6/3412 speed thats coming out soon.
Also, the colourator doesnt do ute bodyshapes yet, which is a tad silly.
I'd have to say that FPVs website is miles infront of the HSV site too. It looks classy and functional, whilst the latters' is garish and looks to have been put together by toddlers with access to Flash and a text editor.

the colorator only does the GT. it wont show you what the GTP would look like with the different wheels etc either ...but its still mad to see so many color options
Nice to see the gauges make a return even if in copy cat style.
Good to also see that someone from FPV was paying attention some 18 months ago when we posted some samples of bonnet bulge lettering (copy image below) even if they do look as cheap and tacky now as they did then.
The wheels are a nice addition although I suspect they will be susceptible to gutter damage thanks to the design. Not overly convinced of the need for 19's, particularly considering the $800 per corner replacement cost and the quality of some Mexican roads.
The change in spring rates gets another tick and should address one of the performance issues at least.
Series 1 GT owners have probably been harder hit by the changes that GT-p owners given the significant upgrade in kit for the GT but that's progress.
i think the bonnet stickers look good with the right colours,
the oranges stickers on silver doesnt look to good but the dark orange with black stickers looks nice
