Smile going to be in melbourne in august

and would like to know something about the discoveryt centre. is it a museum set-up or is it designed for groups of school kids (eeek!). wouldnt mind having a look around...

how much?
where?
any good?

also...i think thrifty hire VW's, but i wouldnt mind maybe hiring a new mini, depending on where i am staying. will be there for the wrestling (YES...I GOT MY TICKET!!!!) and may be staying in the dandenongs. depends on where my brother in law will be at the time. am trying not to spend too much, but would like maybe a week there...and need some suggestions / help?

Disco Centre is well worth a visit. Has many displays & cars to peek at. Don't forget the jelly wrestling pit either.

thanks very much FM...i am intrigued about the jelly wrestling pit...i assume it isnt at ford...

The Centre is an interactive museum showcasing the past present and future of Ford Australia. Definately well worth a visit. Geelong is about an hours drive from Melbourne (1 1/2 at the moment with highway upgrades)

As for the hire cars... ??? and the jelly wrestling... a figment of someones immagination.
