I was browsing the LS1 board and came upon this thread. Im sure this will please all us FORD ppl.

rumour on police cars
on the radio this morning on the rumour thingo, some dude from inside said they were testing the new VY and BA's out for the police. they said normally they buy half of each. however they said the new fords performed so well they will buy all fords now.

the ford guys will like this rumour. xr6 turbo cop cars probably...

I know the cops have tested a BA XR6T against a SS & Nissan GTR down 1/4 mile . Results , SS five car lengths behind , GTR one car length ahead. All they did to the car was fit a bigger intercooler.

Why would the cops have anything to di with GTR's?

I think this is great. although I am quite adamnat we will see Alot of SS pursuit cars.

I would say alot of our pursuit cars will be the Xr8 but the Turbo will sell well too to the copplers as well as the XT of course.

Dunno why they used GTR , but they were also comparing it to WRX's also.
