Good performance/tuning shops - GC/Brisbane

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a GOOD performance/tuning place that's located at Gold Coast or Brisbane. I'm chasing one to have work done on my supercharged AU.

Thanks.

Re: Good performance/tuning shops - GC/Brisbane

Chiptorque on the gold coast (nerang) have been very good in my past expirences dave. They deal with some monster supercharger and Turbo setups as well, so they should know what they are talking about. (yes they do a lot more than just chips). They would be the first ones i would call. Just ask for Laclan or Stefan. Just have a chat to either of them and see what you think.

The other one I know of thats ment to be pretty good in in Brisbane is Bob Romanos (spelling) The guys from the Qld Tickford club use his workshop quite a bit I think...

I wont mention names but the guy you went to see near my work is ment to be a god with N/a engines but I dunno if he is any good with Blown ones so be careful there.

Ps If you need a lift back from where ever you end up having to take the Au, give me a yell.

Bob Romano's Son is the turbo/Superchrager man so yes they can do very good work with blown cars. Bob sticks to N/A.

Thanks for the replies guys, and thanks for the offer of the lift sylox, i'll keep it in mind.
I'll give some places a ring today and see what they have to say.
I was also thinking maybe of Subzero Performance, has anyone had any experience with these guys?

Just rang Chiptorque and Bob Romano, neither of them do work on the internals of the engine. Also Chiptorque "prefer" not to work with EMS computers.

Re: Good performance/tuning shops - GC/Brisbane

Well i booked my car in today at Redcliffe Dyno for the 1st of March. They are going to strip the engine down and see what needs replacing/machining etc. I'll probably end up getting some good quality rings, pistons, bearings and maybe get the engine blueprinted and/or balanced. Then get it all run in and tuned on the dyno.
Apparently they do the tuning work on some of the EA Saloon cars, which also run a Stinger computer (as my car does). Also the machinist they use does work on the Saloon cars too.

Yeah well on Bob's website it says he does rebuilds, but when i rang them the lady on the phone said they don't do rebuilds. I'd say they probably would...
