Picked up my copy this morning.... what can i say... frikkin awesome game !!!
The radio stations are hilarious... all 80's music. I especially like the rock station that plays Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax etc.
The level of detail has definately been increased since GTA3... theres more cars, more people and more weapons (eg. chainsaw, samurai sword, machetti etc.).
Plus now you can ride motorbikes (scooter, harley, dirtbike and roadbike) and fly a helicopter.
After only playing it for a few hours I can definately recommend this game.
Actually I recommend that people intending to get either The Getaway or GTA vice city do so asap, as both these games, whilst similiar are MA rated, and all you need is a few bleeding hearts to ruin it for everyone. IE these 2 games may get banned......

Yeah its only for PS2 at the moment. As far as being recalled goes.. I hope not cause it has already been held up due to classification concerns.
There isnt any more violence than the last game and now you cant even pickup the prostitutes ... which is what the original GTA3 was recalled for.
Added features in this new game are more weapons, more vehicles, more babes in bikinis and a little more swearing......( the crime boss shooting pigeons with a shotgun for shitting on his car is funny).
..... now back to chainsawing that columbian scumbag..... :)

It's not due out on PC till March I think... damn it... found out today. Oh well, I'll have to keep waiting. Or just burn me a copy from the PS2 and use and emulator :)
A mates got it on pxs2. For playstation its good (but i rekon it wont compare to a PC version).
You cant pick up hookers, the bikes are cool - hold down the brake and do donuts in them :) - The new guns are pretty cool, and you can actually enter buildings like stores and the cop shop :)
The only thing is theres TOO many cops out there. Soon as you do something bad, your flooded with cops.

My mates got the OS version of GTA3. Hookers are funny, he got the cheats for all the weapons too. My comp wont run any new games but when I get it upgraded (some time next year) I wanna get GTA3 and Vice City if it comes out, and V8 supercars is on PC too right?
