Pitty it the real version is illegal in Australia, but i downloaded all 1gb of it and it is one sweet game, but it is dodgy on WIn XP and u need a good graphics card, cant wait till DOOM III

Ive got the illegal version since it was first released on my ps2.. finnished it, still enjoy the violence and flying the planes around.

Pitty they dont have Aussie falcon taxis instead of those american fwd ford taxis, good to see the police cars are all Fords too!

Yeah I would like to know that too, were there changes made when it was taken off the shelves or was it just given a different rating?.

I hired it out a couple of weeks ago and loved it, a top game.

The illegal version would be the one with the prostitute beating and sex in it, its all implied really.. If you have the PC version just change all your regional settings to English(United States) instead of Australia and you can see the game in its full flare.

I think the bits they refer to as illegal are the ability to flag down a hooker on the side of the street and drive around to an alleyway, have sex (the car starts bouncing around like crazy and your money goes down, health goes waaay up), then jump out of the car and beat the girl to death and take the money back. This also happens in a mission..

I guess everybody knows that the games creator's can call this moral because noone actually dies in GTA, the ambulance comes past and they get up and start walking again.. Revived by the boys in green..

But really, you guys have to GOT to try it... Its a fantastic game.. I loved the first one and this version has brought it all back for me better looking, playing, more stuff to do, heaps of different views (not just the traditional over the top look from before)

King game.. try it!

You will need a very good Graphics Card, like a Geforce 3 ti 200 is minimum, and no Geforce 4 mx's i think the release is in late 2002 or early 2003

GTA3 absolutely rocks. The sheer size of the game is absolutely great and to think that it was released very early in the PS2 era is something to marvel at. I appreciate any game that has exceptional level of detail in it!
