now, i'd like to see you car experts tell me the names of these cars! sure they're funny to look at, but do you know what they are? some of our american friends are bound to recognise the car in the last 2 pics, and aussies will have to recognise the first one.

I think Mitsuoka is just a concept design studio. I don't think they actually produce cars for general sale as such. There was a piece in the Courier Mail on them a week or so back. The concept car they featured wasn't really drivable, just a showpiece of the designers "skills and creativity."

Read Yugo

I used to live in the UK where they were plentiful. I also have a rather humourous video with Mr "Clarkson" (of Top Gear fame) demolishing a Yugo 45 with a Chieftan Tank!!!!
I think I've mentioned them before but get hold of any of these videos, they are hilarious. The Technical Bookshop in Melbourne has a few and I know the Pitstop Bookshop in Perth always has them.

"Unleashed on Cars"
"Apocalypse Clarkson"
"The most outrageous Jeremy Clarkson Video in the world....ever"
"Head to Head"
"At Full Throttle"

A couple of other good ones are:-

"Jeremy Clarkson's Extreme Machines"
and
"Fast and Furious 2" ...Tiff Needell video, Clarkson's sidekick from Top Gear... This fellow can drive a bit!!!
