Re: Gun Control - For or Against?
These rumors I've heard scare the crap out of me. I believe in gun control, I am perfectly capable of controlling ALL of my guns myself! I am active duty military and in federal law enforcement. I see and hear all kinds of terrible things. If these pro control M*R*NS had their way about it, the only people who would have guns are the people who are not law abiding in the first place. WAKE UP, that would just leave the rest of us respectful law abiding citizens defenseless.
On the other hand, there are some who want to be ready for "anything" or the "apocalypse" or my favorite (not confirming or denying my interest) ZOMBIES! It's like anything else. Guns are our heritage, our family traditions, our hobbies our prized possessions passed down from our father's father. Collecting, trading, showing and discussing guns is no different than knives, or comic books.
The only way any kind of gun control will ever work in a positive way is if there is widespread education, involuntary if necessary. People are afraid of things they don’t know or understand. PLEASE educate yourself before taking a stance on the topic. As for me, I will continue to carry and you will be damn glad if you are in a seriously bad situation and I am nearby, because I CAN and WILL do something to help.
I am sorry if I have offended anybody, these are my opinions and beliefs. I am passionate about this topic.
