When my wife first took the XR6 to work just after we bought it, this bright spark that works there said "Why did you buy that heap of sh*t you should have bought a Holden" He laughed when she said that we would never own one.

Well, he isn't laughing any more. Only a few weeks of picking up his brand new SS ute he noticed that it sounded like a can full of nails. He took it back to Holden and the machanic said straight away that he knew what the problem was and it requires a whole new engine. Holden have had a lot of problems with the head but aren't doing much about it.

He wasn't a happy camper when my wife laughed at him and said maybe he should have bought a heap of sh*t Ford instead.

Don't you just love a happy ending?

Build quality has always been an issue with holden hasn't it?
Thats what made me decide on the EL (VS commonwhore - urghhh). I reckon that every third commodore i see on the roads has tail-lights blown (including vx's).. If they can't get simple wiring right, what else have they missed???

we have these friends who are total yuppies. anyway, she was over a mates house in an ordinary perth suburb (morley) and she saw a rat on the back fence. "ooohhh, thats so disgusting! we dont get rats in scarborough" she said. scarborough is an expensive beach side suburb where she lives.

well, god looked down on all of this and decided to fix it. the next day, she walked into the dining room and saw a rat eating the fruit from the bowl on the table. LMFAO!!

they may get rats, but they have better table manners than the common old morley rats

Good to see abit of backfire to holden guys bagging out on fords.

This has reminded me of a good friend on mine from Year 12. He was a dead set holden man, and still is for that matter.

Anyways when it was time to upgrade to another guy guess what car he got?? Yes a 1994 EF Fairmont Ghia, why because he said that he couldn't justify buying an equivelant Calais for 3k more and has nothing better that a different badge. Too boot his fairmont has leather.

Sorta made my day when i heard he got a Ford. :bs6:
