With the recent huge number of cars sold through auctions such as Fowles (Vic) of brand new hail damaged cars I was wondering did anyone buy such a car and then have it repaired. More importantly were you happy with the results? A forum search only brought up tips on what to do and not the results after following such advice/repairs.

at work we are repairing a few 2000 model magnas, insurance jobs, our price is round about $7500

this includes a new roof skin, new bonnet and boot, repair any dents on doors, rear quaters and front panels, plus a full respray

but it would be cheaper if you wanted the roof repaired instead of replaced, but it wouldnt turn out anywhere near as good

Thanks for your replies guys... just need to find out now how much that BA V8 F'mont sedan will be sold for (as is) to see if the deal is worth it.
