Handicapped Toyota Echo...

Ok, the other day when we went to the supermarket, we saw a Toyota Echo parked in a handicapped parking space. There was no handicapped parking permit visible anywhere.

My question is, is the fact that they drive a Toyota Echo the handicap?

In all seriousness, if somebody requires handicapped parking, wouldn't an Echo be too small and difficult to get in/out of and drive?

Re: Handicapped Toyota Echo...

Its surprising what is classed as handicapped sometimes. It can be foot injury, or you can get one if a family member is impaired (e.g. blind etc).

But lacking a displayed notice, I would expect this one was just taking advantage of the space illegally. . . .

Its the same for any other vehicle or handicap; just because its a Toyota Echo and not a falcon shouldnt be cause for a thread!

Re: Handicapped Toyota Echo...

I think the whole point was about the <B>size</b> of the car, not whether it was a Toyota or a Falcon.

My mum found it impossible to get a handicap parking sticker. She's had two back operations and needs to turn her whole body to get out of the car. She can't walk too far on bad days but the council still refused her one even with a Doctors letter.

It would be funny to see a tiny little car in such a big car space, I bet you could have parked two of them in it.

I'm with Dellboy999, trash it Seinfeld style!

My GF owns an Echo, we got one big bastard on one side of the driveway (my car) and this little cube on the other (her car).

Thank you LuvinmyEB, that was my point. I only tried to make a (possibly lame) joke about it, seeing there didn't seem to be any handicapped parking permit...
