that pic was in street machine, hillier conversions bought it from the insurance people and fixed it up for their work car. also said they left the dint in the boot to remember what it had been through, or been through it ? lol
Yeah, would have been an easy job for Hilliers. They're good at chopping cars up and putting them back together in all sorts of different ways. They would have chopped it at the start of the front doors and replaced it with the front end of a donor car i reckon.

I've seen that pic before - shocking stuff. Looks like an AU II Futura, but even the AU II's reinforced firewall could only do so much. I never realised it actually got fixed up, but either way, there's no substitute for safe driving!

I dont think they would of cut and shut it, cut and shuts are illegal, it would of been easier to put a new firewall, skirts and rails in. One day I hope to have a bussines like hillers.
I thought cut & shuts were legal provided they were done by somebody who is qualified. I know a few years ago there was a whole debacle about dodgy cut & shut jobs but they were being done by Dodgy Bros & Co.
