Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

Got caught on my P's doing a job for the company i was working for.
Got done a 117km/h from an on coming patrol car and they didn't book me for speeding they just booked me for not having P plates up, $100 fine, but i was glad.

It was in an 80s series Landcruiser and i was coasting but still thought it would be alright between 110km/h and 120km/h and not get booked. Hmmm wrong again :(

Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

Atleast i wasn't a mindless dick and done it during peak hour traffic like most others do, i waited till late at night when i knew if i ****ed up i was the only person to suffer the consequences. And the road in question is long enough and straight enough and safe enough to try something stupid like i did.

Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

Only been got twice in 18 years of driving.
One was 75 in 60, and then 91 in 80.

The 75 one was dodgy, as a number of people have since told me that they got done for the same thing in the same place. Sad part is that it is a dual lane carriageway, not some tight little suburban street. Oh well, life's llike that. Funny part is that the XD wasn't good for much more than 100 anyway!!

The 91 one was after rounding up a slow truck. Once again, shit happens. But the very next day a 4WD rounded up myself & 2 other cars in the same spot, and narrowly missed the oncoming traffic. No coppers to be seen..............

Ed :)

Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

Once for doing 80 in a 60 zone. There were a few other times of getting pulled over by the cops for doing a little worse than that, but they let me go..
