Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

hyundai tiburon v6s dont do 260! maybe near 230, but even thatd be doing well for it.
GTs do 250 and XR8s do 230(speed limited)

Thats funny caz i've done 240k's in my mums car and dad said he hit 260 in it. Only reason i didnt keep going was i ran out of runway . Im not talking about the old shitty hyundi coupe but the v6 tiburon with the 6 spd.

Are both cars speed limited, what would they do without the limiter there.

Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

i got caught doing 70 in a 50 zone... my mate told me i was being followed and then as soon as i put my indicator on to turn the cops turned their lights on. i dont know why, but i was let off without even a warning on my record. They asked me if i knew what the limit was on that road (i had no clue... they were really wide lanes so i assumed atleast 60km/h) and i said that i thought it might be a 60 zone... they told me it was a 50 and i was doing 70. They grabbed my details, did a breath test, checked over the outside of my car, asked me if i had any illegal materials and then let me go. I havent been caught by cameras and havent had any other driving offenses.. i did get a nasty look from a motor cycle cop when i went around a round about too fast (under the limit tho) and had my tyres squealing from excessive body roll due to worn suspension

Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

No not for speeding once for doing a right hand turn at 9:01am by my watch 9:03am by the car clock when a sign stated no right turn between 7am till 9am cop put down 8:58am BY HIS WATCH and there was no cars behind or oncomming so there was no obstruction to traffic that was in 1989 and the other was when I was on the GSXR1100 for lifting the front wheel AKA riding/driving in the manner dangerous that was in 1993 and one "speeding ticket" I got out of last year as the cop did not know the speed zone he said I was doing 79 in a 60 zone but it was a 80 zone and a short walk back to the sign on the pole proved it and guess what NO APPOLOGY just a grunt

I had a speedo like that once.....got it fixed.

Try it again with a GPS on board you may get a fright.

There is NO WAY a 127kw, 1300kg non aerodynamic rice toy like a tiburon would go even close to 260 km/h. The air drag at that speed is incredible.
Most 127kw aircraft will not do 260 km/h (spiral dive excluded).

P.S. unless your merc was a 55AMG you would have bucklys of doing 300 too and even then I doubt it. That is ferrari and lambo and V8 supacar territory...

Well im telling you the truth and unless the speedo gets out of wack over a given speed it s fine caz if you do the limit your with the traffic. Wouldnt have a clue what model merc it was but its a huge two door thing, she paid 200 odd grand for it 2nd hand a few months ago.

And i said around 300 not on or over. So how does a basically stock Ed xr6 wind off it's 220kmh speedo with just 165kw (Guess). Althought the tiburon isn't as powerfull it has an extra cog to help it move along, i think the tiburon is a bit more areodynamic than a new falcon when you look at it, its lower and has a more rounded nose compared to the fairly flat front end of the falcon.

Re: Have you ever been caught speeding?

OK, I see it is pointless to try and tell you.

Just do it. You will then realise what you have said is impossible.
