Are there any good stories out there about a particular moment when you did or say something stupid that got you really embarrassed ?
I remember a few years ago now,i put my foot in it when i was at a customers house doing an installation one of these huge double door American ice maker fridge and being friendly and chating to the lady i noticed she was quite large around the tummy area ,when i said to her "when is your baby due" thinking she was having a baby,but when she informed me that she wasn't expecting a baby, i was looking to find the nearest hole i could crawl into,i really made a dick of myself ,so all i could do was apologies-but she took it well and said yes i am rather big and must lose some weight, to which i didn't reply to.Thinking back to it now is quite funny-but it certainly wasn't at the time.

I went to Macca's a couple of weeks ago with a mate and his girlfriend. His GF brought along one of her friends that Ive had my eye on for awhile and has only just broken up with her boyfriend. Anyway we get out the car and im talking to her not looking where im going, walk behind the car next to us and BANG! Smash my knee on its towbar and go ass over tit onto the asphalt of the car park! So im laying there in pain but laughing and a group of kids in basketball uniforms walks past and one of them says "Man, you put your body on the line!". Now that is embarrassing!

Ok, well this is from Boot Camp in the Air Force. You sort of have to understand you get very limited time to do anything, so after we had all had to wait to use the unisex loo, it was my turn, and a mate was waiting outside.

So I was in there, talking to the only guy outside, my mate, about the chicks in the course below (newer than) us, who had drawn everyones attention. So as I was joking away, I noticed he wasn't saying anything back, so I finished up and emerged, to find that whole course was there listening and smiling, waiting to use the loo as well between whatever they were doing, and my mate was standing there red-faced!

We did both leave rather expediently...

Although, as it turned out, met up with the girl I was talking about here two air force bases later and became good friends, so all was not lost!

But boy, I was rather embarassed!
