I was playing with it last night actually. Has couple of features in the premium sound that were interesting...
The stereo has compression - which I'm sure is probably now a common feature on a lot of good quality head units, though my Pioneer Cd/tuner head I got for the old EA didn't have this. Ford actually had a reasonably informative passage as to why you might use it (quoting usable decibel ranges, etc). It was set off, and I kept it that way.
It was has a power limiter to reduce volume when it dectects distortion, and this was set on - so I turned it off and had a play. Don't think I would really worry about this setting either way,
since I doubt I'm ever going to crank it loud enough to distort for any long periods of time - I don't want my tinnitus getting worse!
